Theatre in Communities

Theatre is within everyone. Aarohan trains local people to use theatre in their communities. In doing so we explore and encourage the stories and performance traditions that exist within communities.

We have used theatre to promote discussion and action on issues facing Nepal ranging from leprosy to conflict resolution.

Since 2001, we have worked with Theatre of the Oppressed. We have adapted Forum Theatre and given it a Nepali name - Kachahari theatre. We also practice, image and invisible theatre.
